What I collect and why
When you get in touch
If you write to me through the site, I receive your message, your email address, the page you wrote from and the time. If you picked topics on the site, they come along too, so I know what's on your mind before I reply. A copy is kept on the web server in a folder that isn't public. I use all of this only to read your message and answer it.
My mailing list
If you sign up, I keep your email address on my mailing list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask me to remove you.
Scheduling a call
When you schedule a call, the scheduling tool collects what you enter: your name, email address, the time and any notes. Topics you picked on the site are filled in for you, and you can change them. I also receive them by email so I can prepare.
Keeping track
I keep a record of the people I talk to, and what we talked about, in a contact management tool.
Analytics
Like most websites, this one uses analytics to see which pages and buttons get used. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and never sees your email address or your messages.
On your device
The site remembers a few choices while you browse, like the topics you pick and light or dark mode. They're cleared when you close the tab and only reach me if you get in touch or schedule a call. No tracking cookies.
Spam protection and server logs
To stop spam, the site briefly counts requests using a scrambled version of your IP address, never the address itself. The web host also keeps standard server logs for security.
Who else handles your data
Only the services the site depends on: hosting, email delivery, scheduling, analytics and contact management. They process data for me and only for the purposes above. Some are based in the United States and use the safeguards the law requires. I don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Why I'm allowed to
I use your data because you asked me to (you wrote, signed up or scheduled a call), or because I have a legitimate interest in replying and keeping the site working.
How long I keep it
Messages and call details: as long as we're in touch, and a reasonable time after. The mailing list: until you unsubscribe. Ask any time and I'll delete what I hold, unless the law says I have to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or ask me to stop using it. Email hello@kasparskoo.com and I'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
